Meet Makenzie

Hello! My name is Makenzie Lane, and I'm a professional editor and proofreader for fiction novels and the occasional nonfiction true crime novel. I live in Florida and graduated with a BA in English and a minor in music performance from the University of Tampa. I'm a military brat through and through, having lived in multiple states over several years. Still, I found my way to sunny Florida soon enough. I have lived and breathed writing, editing, and reading since middle school when I discovered my passion for the literary arts. My goal as an editor is to help you take your novel from conception to ready for publication by being your guiding hand through the complicated editing process. I hope to work with you soon to help you reach your novel dreams. I'm an avid writer and reader, primarily reading what I like to write, which is romance and fantasy. I also love singing, broadway musicals specifically. I love going to the beach and paddle boarding my worries away. When I'm not editing or reading, I'm most likely playing video games or caring for my many plants.
